Opening reception for LOVELIFE during Second Saturday Artwalk
Admission is free.

The Studio@620 presents “LOVELIFE—Leslie Joy Original Views Around the World and @Home.

“LOVELIFE” takes the viewer on a whirlwind tour to Cuba, California, Indonesia, Bali, Alaska, Vancouver, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Miami and locations here at home. An avid world traveler, Leslie understands that the meaning of life lies in the journey. With appreciation for the beauty that surrounds her, she seeks opportunities to make a difference and inspire others.

“Everything I do creatively is an expression of love or appreciation. Photography enables me to picture the world just as I wish to. I am attracted to lines, angles, shadows, reflections and creating my own shapes. I derive pleasure from looking at things that are often overlooked—the random, seedy, ugly scenes—and celebrating them through my lens as compelling, even beautiful.”

It’s easy to be swept away with enthusiasm in the company of Leslie Joy Ickowitz. She possesses a passionate spirit devoted to exploring possibilities and her unique perspectives are appreciated in many circles. David Warner of Creative Loafing describes her as a “Connoisseur of Life” and Mark Thorn of Studio 10 TV calls her “The Purveyor of Fabulous.” In recent years, Leslie, who is also the founder of VERTICAL Tampa Bay magazine, has emerged as a celebrated destination and art photographer. Color and composition are signatures of her work.

“Discovering my passion for photography feels like a present with a bow on top. Thank you for sharing it with me.”

Leslie Joy Original photography focuses on details, destinations, art, nature, fashion and objects of desire. Find her on Instagram and at LeslieJoyOriginal.com

Please also join us for Leslie’s Artist Talk on Thursday, October 19 at 7p.m. and for the Closing Reception on Saturday, October 28 from 6-9p.m.
