Chicago Butoh by Charles Vanover

“Chicago Butoh” is a unique performance event that combines words taken verbatim from an interview with a first year teacher in the Chicago Public Schools with choreography inspired by Chicago Hip Hop and the Japanese dance form, Butoh. The show communicates moments of educational success and challenge, spotlighting ways in which teachers and students interact, including some that have long lasting impacts.
