2nd Annual Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo

The Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo (TBBAE) is back! We’ve made it through the pandemic and we’re ready to see our Tampa Bay family again!

The Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo is back! What began as an idea is back again for their second year. Thankfully we’ve made it through the pandemic and we’re ready to see our Tampa Bay family again, and gather in celebration of our local Black creative talent.

The TBBAE grew from a desire to showcase the diverse literary talent that is alive and well in the greater Tampa Bay area. By creating the only expo dedicated to authors of color here in the Bay area, we’ve created a platform for some of this area’s most creative minds to gather, network and share their stories with their community.

For the second TBBAE, co-host, author, and healthy lifestyle enthusiast Jeffrey White will be back with his popular writing workshop. He brings years of experience as a self-employed writer, and he’s excited to share his tips on how you can escape the 9 to 5 and make a living as a working creative. We’re bringing together area publishers and writers for a panel discussion on Black Sci-Fi. Area poets will be gracing us with their performances. There will also be a cosplay contest that kids and their family can enter!

In addition to the activities mentioned above, there will be food available on site.
