Sea Turtle Awareness Day

Sea Turtle Awareness Day – Pier 60, May 12, 2018 at Clearwater Beach Pier 60, sponsored by Clearwater Marine Aquarium. It will be a one-day event and it should last from 8am-1pm. The event will focus on educating beachgoers about sea turtles and conservation of their environment. Areas of focus will include nesting, stranding, rehabilitation, marine debris, and ways the public can help protect turtles (disposing of trash, recycling, filling in holes on the beach, using turtle-friendly lighting, etc.). Kick off for this event will be a beach/Pier clean-up (8am-10am), but beach goers will be encouraged to visit vendor booths throughout the entire event (8am-1pm).
