Intro to Software Defined Radio

Introduction to Software Defined Radio (SDR) is a brief overview of the concepts, basic equipment, and usages for beginners. The course will encompass an intro to GNU Radio along with essential information about software defined radios. It is the first in a series of classes using SDRs and GNURadio.

USB drives are bootable and preloaded with the required software.
Please pay for these with your class.

Materials: We can provide the SDR and a bootable USB or you can bring your own. The SDR we’re offering is from Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009U7WZCA/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )

You should have a laptop that can boot from a USB drive or with Ubuntu and GNURadio installed. We’ll have the images available onsite if you need help but please arrive 30 minutes early so that we don’t take up class time getting your computer ready.
