Cuentitos/Little Stories at Woodson African American Museum

Join the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Latin art, music and libations! The museum’s newest exhibit features Latin-Caribbean artist John Gascot. His solo exhibit, Cuentitos (Little Stories) explores and celebrates his roots, culturally, racially and emotionally. The paintings in this collection tell stories spanning from his Caribbean childhood in the early 1970’s to present day.
This exhibit will run September 1-20, 2017
Opening Reception
Saturday, September 9, during St. Pete’s Second Saturday Art Walk
Enjoy John Gascot’s exhibit “Cuentitos”, live Latin music by Hector Mayoral as well as Latin libations and light fare. Selections from Gordon Chernecky’s private collection of Cuban art will also be on display.
Mr. Gascot will dedicate a portion of proceeds of sales from this show to Diversity Arts.
