ASPCA Animal Cruelty Investigations Workshop

This is a free, in-person training about animal cruelty investigations, offered to law enforcement and humane law enforcement officers.
Due to the hands-on nature and limited space, only two individuals per agency are allowed to attend.

- Handling Animal Crimes, What’s Different and What’s the Same
- Florida Animal Cruelty Laws and Disposition
- Types of Animal Cruelty and Key Indicators of Animal Crime
- 4th Amendment and Drafting Search Warrants
- Animal Fighting
- The Veterinarian’s Role in Successful Case Outcomes
- Specific Considerations in Crime Scene Documentation and the Analysis of Forensic Evidence
- Animals as Evidence: Documentation and Removal of Live Animal Evidence
- Participate in mock scene documentation and other hands-on exercises
