Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Centennial – The FHM’s GHRAM Series, Sponsored by Wells Fargo

at USF St. Petersburg – Harbor Hall Community Room

In commemoration of the 100th year anniversary of the birth of the great Russian writer Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, this event explores his magisterial multi-volume work, The Gulag Archipelago. Dr. Golfo Alexopoulos, who has written extensively on the Soviet forced labor camp system or Gulag, will discuss the importance of Solzhenitsyn’s analysis of Stalin’s Gulag. The talk will also reflect on Solzhenitsyn’s comparison between the Nazi and Soviet camps. Free and open to the public.
