SEEDS | Prescribing Food as Medicine

November 16, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Shouldn’t diet related diseases have diet based cures?

Fruit and vegetable prescription programs are an underutilized and popular new tool for addressing diabetes, heart disease and lasting public health. Fresh seasonal food selections could hold the promise of reversing chronic disease and increasing wellness while saving you money.

During this interactive discussion, we’ll explore the benefits of plant based programs, area policies and providers showing us the way, and medical professionals examining the claims. So, would you rather stock your refrigerator or your medicine cabinet?
