Right Plant, Right Place by Habitat

Properly chosen, installed and established shrubs and trees are healthy, help to hold the ground, reduce stormwater runoff, and tend to use fewer resources to enhance nature. This program by Jane Morse, UF/IFAS Extension Commercial Horticulture Agent, will cover the site conditions that must be considered to select proper plants for a certain location. We will cover the standards for the most common sites in Pinellas County which include sandhill, coastal strand, and flatwoods. Proper installation and establishment of shrubs and trees will also be covered.
